Lead Civil Engineer - Business Manager
Mr. Kovacs has over 18 years of engineering experience. His work includes development reviews, feasibility studies, construction management, land planning and design, commercial site development, hydraulic analysis, and FEMA Flood Studies. He has designed projects for US Navy and Army bases, conducted line of sight analysis, and performed earthwork analysis.
Representative work activities and responsibilities include:
· Designed and engineered a complex training range for the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton under HSW Engineering, Inc. The project involved moving 2.5 million CY of earth, building retaining walls, target emplacements, drainage systems including terraces, and designing roadways.
· Design and engineered the expansion of Fort Carson Base under HSW Engineering, Inc. This project entailed complex grading, pavement design to support military traffic, and the installation of interior instrumentation and control systems.
· Municipal utility design for the City of Winter Haven. The work, under ECON South, LLC involved the design, relocation, and permitting of a highly complex master lift station with the capacity to handle of 12.5 million gallons of raw sewage.
· Municipal utility design for Wahneta Water Works. The work, under ECON South, LLC involved improvements to the water plant and water mains by removing the outdated asbestos piping and replacing it with modern PVC piping.
· Partner at ECON South, responsible for designing, permitting, and completing over 2,000 single family lots for residential developments in Polk County. Additional projects include Lakeland Chrysler, Dodge, and Toyota Dealership, Lakeland Body Shop and Collision Repair, U-haul Self Storage Facility, Advanced Auto Parts, and Legoland Florida Resort Hotel.
· Partner and Lead Engineer at Terravest Global Engineering Services - Designed, permitted, and completed over 4,000 single-family and multifamily lots for developments throughout Central Florida. Projects included Brookland Point – Taylor Morison Homes, Bellaviva at Westside - KB Homes, Whispering Hills Development – Meritage Homes & Jones Homes.
Additional experience encompasses:
Client relations, project budgeting, material cost estimation, and proposal preparation for municipal, commercial, residential projects, land planning, earthwork, and land acquisitions.
Mr. Kovacs graduated from the University of South Florida with a BSCE in 2012. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida (License #84168).
